Aging is something that all of us have to face in life. Some of us will do it gracefully but others will do everything to avoid it.

Sometimes, people who were famous as a result of their looks and abilities when they were younger feel that they must keep that youthful look for the rest of their lives. Joan Van Ark seems to be one of those people, despite the fact that she has aged considerably and is now in her 80s.

Van Ark became famous for the roles that she played on television and in the movies. Her appearance has adjusted over the years, and sometimes it may change significantly because of surgery.

At one point, especially in the late 90s, she was known for her beautiful skin, high cheekbones, and defined jawline. Couple that with her blonde hair and pretty eyes, and you had someone who was sure to be famous.

That fame came to a head when she landed a role on Knots Landing. She continued to appear on that show until it ended after 14 seasons in 1993.

Things began to change in her beauty as the years went by. In 1997, she reprised her role on that old TV show, but she didn’t quite look the same because of her surgery.

You could tell that her skin was aging and lines were appearing around her eyes and mouth. Her hairstyle was also changed at that age.

Changes were taking place quickly because her skin was tight. At that point, she probably started having cosmetic surgeries.

In 2009, the surgery began to show on her face. She had an exceptionally firm and smooth complexion and her aging seemed to have reversed.

When she was on the red carpet, she was doing everything possible to hold onto her youth.

In 2016, the skin on her face was almost completely free of wrinkles. If anyone had any doubt that she had work done up until this point, it would now have been erased.

Her appearance did attract some attention, with people saying that she had way too much Botox.

In 2017, she started the film Psycho Wedding Crasher. Her hairstyle had changed significantly for that role and her eyebrows were changed as well.

In 2022, she was spotted out in public after being hidden behind closed doors for quite some time. It was a rare appearance, and all she was trying to do was run some errands in Los Angeles.

She had on athletic wear and was sporting a ponytail but in reality, she was just trying to get some things done.

Finally, we have her look in 2024. At this point, she still doesn’t have any wrinkles but the cosmetic procedures have definitely taken a toll.

Some people would be quick to criticize her looks online, calling her frail and asking what happened to her. Others, however, would express their admiration and say she looks great.

Aging is difficult, and we hope that she is able to be happy with her choices.
